Yes, a non-refundable retainer of $50 is required upon booking to hold your session date and time. This is deducted from the total package amount, and the remainder is payable by the day of the shoot.
We will discuss your session requirements upon booking, and I will also contact you around 1 – 2 weeks before your session date to confirm details and to answer any new questions that you may have.
It’s best to coordinate all of your outfits in some way. To do this I advise all clients to choose 2-3 colours and have everyone stick within that colour palette.
To avoid having the image look too blockish it is recommended that you don’t all match in the placement of the colours (ie. don’t all wear blue jeans and white shirts). To separate the colours blue and white, for example, someone could wear a white skirt and blue top, another person a blue dress, and another jeans and a white shirt).
Busy patterns and big logos should be avoided as they can be distracting. I also recommend avoiding black as it can be very harsh.
If you’re having a maternity session I have a range of dresses for you to use on the day should you wish. Usually we can fit around 2-3 outfits in a maternity session time permitting. Dress selections can be found in my maternity clothing guide here. Please note that these dresses are all one size so it is advised to bring a back up outfit just in case, although they are very stretchy.
I bring a portable changing room along to all maternity sessions so you can change outfits in privacy should you wish to.
Yes, currently all my packages include high resolution, artistically enhanced images on USB. I also provide a Print Release for your images so you may print the images at the print lab of your choice. However, I cannot guarantee the print quality of outside print houses. Please ask me for more information if you wish to order through my professional print lab.
Maternity sessions are best scheduled for when you’re around 34 – 38 weeks pregnant and have a nice, big belly to show off!
Newborn sessions should be scheduled for when the baby is between 5-14 days if possible. Scheduling a session for this time frame increases the chances of posing the baby in the sleepy positions that you see on this website. When booking, you need only tell me your due date, and we will confirm a solid date and time once you are out of hospital and home with your new baby.
If by chance it rains on your scheduled day/time, or someone is ill, then we will reschedule the session for when it is convenient for both parties. Refunds are not given for weather, illness, or the like where it is possible to reschedule for another date and time.
I do have accounts with professional print labs and I am able to provide you with professional quality prints and products. Currently, none of my session packages include prints, these must be purchased a la cart. Please contact me directly if you are interested in prints, canvases or other print products.
A sneak peek from your session will be posted within 2-3 days of your session, sometimes even the day of. Your ordering gallery will also be available within a week of your session. Editing of your chosen images will take between 2-4 weeks, and once complete they will be posted to you on USB or available for pickup from Innaloo. You are welcome to download any of the images in your ordering gallery whilst you are waiting.
I try to shoot within two hours of sunrise/sunset so that I can make use of the best possible lighting. I will not shoot outdoors outside of these times, unless we will be at a particularly shady location or it is an overcast day, for quality purposes. Studio sessions however, can be scheduled for any time of the day.
There is an abundance of beautiful scenery around Perth to choose from including parks, beaches, gardens, forests, lakes, waterfalls etc. I have an online guide to my favourite locations that you can select from upon booking your session should you wish. You are also welcome to suggest a different outdoor location, however please note that it may be subject to a travel fee. Please also note that I do not shoot indoors unless it is in a studio set up with professional lighting, for quality purposes.
Most definitely! Please let me know if you are bringing a pet beforehand as some locations do not allow animals.
I typically book at least a few weeks in advance, sometimes months, however I sometimes am able to fit people in at the last minute due to reschedules and cancellations, so please don’t hesitate to ask even on short notice.
I don’t automatically provide your images in black and white as personally i prefer colour, but if you would like them so please let me know and I can edit them specifically for you.
I sure do! Please send me an inquiry to discuss specifics further if the group is larger than 5. I do not charge for more than 5 people if you are wanting my standard family session package time and image amount, unless I truly think you will need more time than what the package offers (For example, multiple families wanting individual group and/or solo shots) or if you would like more images edited.
Feel free to ask any time! You can message me here.
